Nigeria has recorded 49 new cases of the novel coronavirus, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). In a tweet on Saturday April 18, the NCDC reported 23 new cases in Lagos, 12 in the Federal Capital Territory, 10 in Kano, 2 in Ogun, and 1 each in Oyo and Ekiti state.
