Elephant got talent in painting.

Elephant got talent in painting.

It's a picture you might see in a school classroom - a sweet summery drawing of a tree, some grass and two elephant friends, signed in messy handwriting.

But while most of us can use our hands for painting, the artist in this case has a more limited tool to work with: an elephant's trunk.
Drawn by elephants in Thailand with the help of their minders, the artwork is intended to raise awareness of poaching and money for wildlife charities.
An almost identical drawing, although painted by a different elephant, is for sale online for $425 (£318).

After finishing the simple landscape with some grass for the elephants to walk on, the artist signs her name - Jess.
Not all elephants have the skills to make these kinds of paintings, with a selection process required to pick the most talented ones, according to Thai Elephant Art.
No elephants are forced to take part, according to the website.
With pictures on sale for hundreds of dollars each, the organisation hopes to raise money for the World Wildlife Fund to stop the illegal trading of ivory.
Sales of elephant paintings also help to fund a clinic for the animals in Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
